The deadline to apply for the Glida Snowden Memorial Exhibition is Friday, March 6! This annual exhibit was created to honor the late Detroit artist and educator and is the Scarab Club’s biggest exhibit of the year. This year the juror is… yours truly! The exhibit will open on April 17

I recently pulled these 55 self portraits from my sketchbooks and hung them on a wall in the studio. Drawn between October 2024- November 2025, most were finished within an hour.

Plein Air Painting /
Plein Air Landscapes by the Unusual Suspects”, a show organized by one of my favorite Detroit-area artists, Rick Vian, opened with a private reception on Sunday, June 20. I took the opportunity to paint a few landscapes in the same black and white color palette that I’ve been working in, by setting up an easel outside my studio. 1. Grandma’s Ranger 2. 333 Nocturne 3.
